ABOUT CREATION TRAIN

A practice built around
the work that needs doing.

Creation Train brings together operational consulting, analytical work and product development. It works across the boundaries between plans, people, information and technology—where a problem rarely belongs to just one discipline.

Experience under real constraints.

Hannah McKeand’s operational career includes managing a remote Antarctic scientific station and field camps, coordinating people and resources in environments where weather and transport can determine what is possible. Her responsibilities included leading a management team of 12 and a workforce of approximately 120.

She founded Polar Expedition Training, drawing on years of preparing and guiding people for polar journeys. In 2006 she set a world speed record for a solo, unsupported ski journey to the South Pole; she is also an award-winning travel writer.

How that experience informs the practice.

A plan must account for the people, information and resources it depends on. A proposal must describe an approach that can be delivered. A risk control must change what happens in the operation. Those are the practical questions that connect Creation Train’s different areas of work.

The practice is principal-led and uses AI-assisted research, analysis and development where appropriate. The engagement determines the tools, review requirements and handling of client information.
